This position works from approximately 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. 
Sleep technologists perform polysomnograms (sleep studies). A sleep study begins with the technologist assisting the patient with required paperwork and preparing the client for the study. During a sleep study, the technologist monitors 10-20 channels of physiologic recordings, including brain activity, eye movement, muscle tone in the body (including arms and legs), breathing, airflow and oxygen saturation. They also need to be on the lookout for abnormal cardiac arrhythmias, severe oxygen desaturation, or behaviors like night terrors, REM behavior disorder, or even seizures.
Requirements
This position works from approximately 7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.  Responsibilities include: data collection, reviewing existing patient information, examination of orders and relative protocols, recognizing the patient's chief sleep/wake complain, interviewing patient to assess current medications, setup and calibration of equipment, monitoring of the study and recognizing and responding to clinical and physiological events and removing the monitoring devices and assisting the patient with hygiene when necessary.  Scoring studies will also be a key part of this position.
The ideal candidate will be a RPSGT or an experienced sleep technician preparing to become registered. RT candidates would be considered as well.
